History and Territory
In the green San Giacomo’s countryside (south east of Sicily), our family continues a very old tradition in the production and processing of milk. Our Farm, rise on these hills, 500 meters above sea level, between “muri a secco” (typical dry wall), almond’s field, carob trees, olive trees and cereals. For forty years we have transformed our traditions into a small family business.
We feed our animals with high quality feed and with pastures and wild forages from organic farming, to ensure a constant quality of the milk, which keeps all its unique nutrients and antioxidants in quantity.
The use of this milk produces genuine dairy products, typical of the Iblean farms: ricotta, Ragusano, provola, mozzarella, and many other dairy products. Creativity and passion lead us to always invent new products, while keeping alive the tradition and craftsmanship that have always distinguished us. A place of culture and tradition, with elements so ancient that today we have the opportunity to produce our King, the Ragusano DOP.
All this and our boundless passion for this work have allowed us to obtain the Ragusano D’oro 2020 award, for the best product of the year in its category.
